Enrolled acts, 1819-[ongoing].

The acts of Alabama are the official copy of the bills which have passed both houses of the Legislature, been enrolled, certified, and approved by the Governor or passed over the Governor's veto, or otherwise became law. Each act contains an act title, act description, name of the House or Senate members who introduced the bill, the House or Senate bill or resolution number before it became an act, signature of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, signature of the Lieutenant Governor and Presiding Officer of the Senate, date of the Governor's approval and the signature of the Governor, date received by the Secretary of State, clerk's signature, and the act number. The legislative working copy of the act which does not contain the Governors signature is known as the engrossed act.
